Sports Day - Thank you to all parents for sending the children in with their full kit, hats and sun cream. We had a good time and the children worked hard to make the event a success. We did our best to stay in the shade and to stay cool!

Mini Olympics. We had a fantastic day at the Mini Olympics event where we met sporting heroes and completed 8 different events including learning the amazing shark dance. The children all joined in with enthusiasm and had a fun time learning new skills. Well done everyone for trying so hard even on a very hot day!

The castle home set for over the May half terms was completed briliantly by the children. Here are just some examples of the children's work. They should be very proud of themselves! Fantastic effort everyone!

Well Done! Joshua, Emily and Ellissa have all gone the extra mile for charity and we are very proud of their hard work and dedication!

Science Week !!  WOW what a fantastic week learning about science with experiments and learning how to make scientific observations! We have set up two experiments which we will be monitoring over the next two weeks! Pictures will be added showing the changes we have predicted will happen.

We have been making paper pulp from recycled paper ready to make a brand new sheet of paper for our Easter art work. It has been a messy process!! Watch out for the results.

As part of our work we have been looking into the plastic pollution in the oceans and the children have written their own news reports. We have made plastic jelly fish and fish from plastic bags. The children have also written acrostic poems about turtles and dolphins.

Come and look at our work!

We have set up experiments to look at composting fruit and carrier bags and we are proving that the stem of a flower acts like a straw sucking up moisture.

Oceans in a bottle - looking at waves and also how oil and water do not mix! Lots of discussion on the liquid density! It was super messy too!

Paper Making

Joshua received a surprise from his 'Super Hero' Sergio Aguero after he completed a brilliant piece of homework about his football hero! Sergio sent a signed photo and a message for Joshua to keep up the good work with his writing!

Term 3   Let's Play

Welcome back! Everyone seems to have had a super Christmas and the children have been keen to share news of their presents and family celebrations.

We have an exciting topic all about TOYS including looking at toys from the past and comparing them to toys now. We have started watching the film Toy Story and will be focusing on the main characters of Woody and Buzz. The children all seemed very engaged with the film when we started watching it!

Our termly letter is attached for you to look at and it details all the subjects to be covered this term.

We have hit the ground at speed working on diary entries, verb tenses and shape and symmetry in maths. The children have been looking at signs of winter and thinking about the animals that sleep through the cold or migrate to warmer countries!

We take lots of photos of our learning and these will be added to the webpage so keep a look out!

Wishing you the most amazing and happy 2018!
