Mummified Tomatoes

We had great fun testing if tomatoes could be mummified using salt - we stored the tomatoes for 21 days in salt. We observed the colour, smell and texture before the salt was added and then compared the data at the end of the 21 days. Althought the tomatoes were darker and harder they were preserved.
